Shield Defensive Tactics
In 1991 I graduated from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH with a B.A. in criminal justice, and that’s where my passion began for a career in law enforcement. I worked briefly as a police officer in Maine before accepting a position as a Federal Agent in 1992.
I graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in 1992, and then graduated from the FLETC Defensive Tactics and Intermediate Weapons Instructor program in 1994. I have been training Federal, state and local law enforcement officers for almost 15 years now in self defense techniques, baton training, the use of pepper spray, searching and arrest techniques.
In addition to being trained at FLETC, I have been certified by other outside entities, such as the Manadnock Baton company as an baton instructor, and Smith and Wesson , as a handcuffing instructor. During the training which I conduct throughout the year, I train Federal law enforcement in a wide variety of topics, including the use of pepper spray, ground fighting techniques, the use of extendable batons.
I have been active in the Salem, NH community for years, coaching baseball, floor hockey and soccer for kids of all ages. I’ve been married for almost 15 years now and I have 3 kids who take up a large majority of my time.
I believe very strongly that everyone should take a self defense class of some kind, regardless of what type of class you take. The skills and knowledge you receive in these types of courses could someday save your life. I am dedicated to help you learn these skills in a positive and professional training environment, to give you the will and skill to survive. |
